LAS CHIMENEAS

Originally a “finca” or Spanish farmhouse, Las Chimeneas is a delightful and very spacious six bedroom villa situated in extensive, mature gardens. Lovingly brought up to date but retaining many of its original features and style, it is ideally configured as three units which can accommodate an extended family, a group of friends or a number of families, sleeping up to 12 people.

The main house sleeps five in three bedrooms, the Casita offering accommodation for four, whilst the Studio sleeps two to three. The Studio, with its own sitting area and en-suite shower room can either be used as part of the main house, or shut off and accessed through its own front door for more privacy.

The charming Main House (which is formed from the original finca) is approached through a porch which leads to a huge reception room, with a comfortable sitting area around the television and log burner, and a spacious dining area. Two sets of patio doors lead out on the the Terrace, the pool and gardens.

Glass doors from the sitting room open onto a study area with stairs leading to the first floor and beyond into an additional sitting area with double doors to the secluded internal courtyard, which provides a shady sitting and dining area: ideal for those looking for a cool place to relax in the heat of the day. A double bedroom, a single bedroom and a full bathroom are also accessed from here.

The Kitchen is equipped with a large range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and granite worktops.

Upstairs is the master bedroom suite with dressing room, stylish shower room and a large private balcony overlooking the pool and gardens.

Steps from the garden lead to the self contained Casita with has a private terrace and outdoor space with lovely views up to the Montgo National Park and mountain. A generous sitting room opens onto its own kitchen and dining area. It is equipped with a cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The Casita contains a double bedroom a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a full family bathroom as well.

The Studio can be accessed from either the terrace of through the main porch and has a double bed, sitting area with sofabed and shower room.

The Terrace by the pool features a shaded dining area and a stunning outdoor kitchen with gas hob, large “plancha” griddle plate, two fridges and ample storage for crockery, glasses and cooking equipment. This sensational entertaining space is completed by bar and stools for enjoying drinks outside.

New for this year 2022, is the 40 square meter Cabana. This amazing space is ideal at any time of the day or evening, whether you are lounging around in the sitting area with a glass of cava (or cup of tea!) or enjoying a meal at the comfortable dining table. With shade, cooling ceiling fans, wifi and electricity sockets, its even a great office space if you really have to do some working during your holiday. Just change your background if you´re on a Zoom call and don´t want to make your colleagues back home too jealous!

The pool itself if 5×10 with roman steps at one end and extensive room for sun loungers in sun and shade. In cooler months, there is the option of pool heating (supplement applies).

Wifi runs throughout the house, together with efficient ceiling fans in all the bedrooms and living rooms. A/C is also available throughout the villa if required (supplement applies).

There is an external laundry equipped with washing machine and tumble drier.

Within easy walking distance are 2 excellent restaurants: family friendly Masena and Michelin starred Bon Amb. A short drive takes you to the broad sandy beach of the Arenal with its full complement of restaurants, bars and shops. The old town of Javea (clearly visible from the house) has a 15th century fortified church, a traditional covered market and a good selection of tapas bars. Both Mercadona and Mas y Mas supermarkets are within a short drive and offer an extensive range of both local and imported produce (Mercadona´s fish and meat counters are a must for those wishing to take advantage of cooking on the outside griddle). There is a nine hole golf course 4km away and 27 hours further afield at La Sella (approx 10km)
